Amazon Has Loads of Pokémon Cards Restocked and Even Discounted As Part of Its New Spring Sale

Image
There's a whole bunch of great Pokémon TCG deals available right now online as part of Amazon's 2026 Spring Sale . As part of the 30th Anniversary celebrations ongoing throughout the year, you can expect to see plenty of special offers ongoing in sale events like this. Amazon has recently gone through another massive restocking mission as part of its new sale, with several sets back available, and even discounted a few as well. Most notable in the sale right now is the Perfect Order Booster Box , including 36 packs, for $239.75. It's a little over market price from somewhere like TCGplayer right now (averaging about $225). But, if Amazon is your preferred retailer, say you want the boosters promptly, or maybe even have some gift cards to spend, then the option is there. There's also the remarkably popular 151 Booster Bundle , which is now back, albeit for an eye-watering $195. That's around $7 over market price, but still worth mentioning for the same reasons ...

Can Crimson Desert Patch Its Way to a Cyberpunk 2077-Style Victory?

Image
Love it or hate it, there’s no denying that Crimson Desert has suffered something of a rocky launch. Its vast open world, full of opportunity and flexible inventive systems, is impressive, but its awkward controls, punishing difficulty spikes, and baffling approach to inventory management burst the bubble of immense hype that had been built over years, resulting in “mixed” Steam reviews and an equally mixed critical reception . But there’s also no denying developer Pearl Abyss’ dedication to making things right. Its response to player feedback has been extraordinary, delivering some of the most extensive initial patch work that we’ve seen this generation within days of launch. It’s unclear if the development team has had to break their backs to do this, but their work has already paid dividends: user reviews on Steam have shifted into “very positive” territory, and the company’s stock price – which plummeted in the wake of uneven critic scores – has begun to bounce back . All this...

Warhammer 40,000 11th Edition Announced With a Blood Angels vs Orks Cinematic Trailer, a Release Window, and Some Good News for Fans

Image
Games Workshop has finally pulled back the curtain on the 11th Edition of Warhammer 40,000, which is due out June 2026. The new edition, unveiled at Adepticon Preview 2026 overnight, revolves around the Imperium’s fight against the Orks on the war-torn world of Armageddon. With Commissar Yarrick back on the field , the Space Marines have arrived to lend the Astra Militarum (who were once called the Imperial Guard) a hand. And you can see the Blood Angels (and, inevitably, an Ultramarine) doing just that in the teaser trailer below. Here’s the new lore, fresh from Warhammer Community : After the events of Armageddon: The Return of Yarrick, the Imperial forces on the war world are in dire straits – the Ork vanguard led by Wazdakka Gutsmek has landed, and Ghazghkull’s main force isn’t far behind. A desperate gambit by Commissar Yarrick gets a plea for aid out into the stars, and Operation Imperator, a coalition of Space Marines from many Chapters, surges towards the beleaguered plan...

Pokémon Champions Won't Let You Use Pokémon That Aren't Fully Evolved

Image
If you had vivid fantasies about using your Pikachu, or your Chansey, Porygon2, or Dusclops in Pokémon Champions, The Pokémon Company just dashed them today with the news that not every Pokémon would be available in Pokémon Champions at launch, with the game specifically excluding any monster that's not considered a "final evolution." And that... kinda sounds like they mean Pikachu, too? This comes from producer Masaaki Hoshino speaking to a roundtable of journalists, as reported by HypeBeast . In the roundtable, Hoshino said, "At launch, only final evolutions will be available... After we introduce a lot of the final evolutions, we might consider earlier evolutions as well. For now, this approach is more accessible for new players." Hoshino's reasoning makes some sense, as new players might roll up into challenging battles using unevolved Pokémon without realizing how much of a disadvantage they are at. At the same time, this actually takes away a meani...

'Our Teams Will Have to Pick Up the Pieces' — Fortnite's Remaining Staff Say They 'Cannot Even Fully Understand' the Mass Layoffs Impact on the Game This Year 'And Beyond'

Image
Fortnite staff who survived yesterday's mass cull of workers say they're unable to comprehend the impact on the game's future this year "and beyond." Yesterday, Epic Games announced it was making 1,000 team members redundant . In a statement, Epic boss Tim Sweeney blamed the job losses on the company "spending significantly more than we're making" amid a downturn in interest in Fortnite — despite it remaining one of the most popular games in the world. In the hours that followed, numerous veteran Epic Games employees took to social media to confirm they were among those impacted. This includes senior and long-standing members such as design director Christopher Pope, principle engineer Evan Kinney, and lead writer Nik Blahunka — all of whom had worked on Fortnite's gameplay, live events and story for years. Vitaliy Naymushin, a character art director who designed some of Fortnite's earliest characters including its default mascot Jones...

Marvel Rivals Devs Won't Introduce Original Characters Anytime Soon, Because There Are Simply Too Many Marvel Characters Already

Image
NetEase Games has pulled from decades of comic book history to pack Marvel Rivals with 48 playable heroes – but will it ever slow down? We caught up with creative director Guangyun “GuangGuang” Chen and executive producer Danny Koo to learn more about the trajectory of their ongoing superhero hero shooter at GDC. While opening up about how NetEase plans to maintain its one-hero-per-month live-service strategy , the pair touched on whether players could soon see an original character created just for Marvel Rivals. The short answer? Probably not, or at least not anytime soon. “We have so many right now,” Koo said. “It's not the time.” Koo reiterated previous confirmation that the studio has permission to create original characters should the opportunity arise. So, while a NetEase-made hero isn’t off the table, don’t expect them to swoop into Season 8. Meanwhile, the team is preparing to kick off its first real collaboration with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Path to ...
