Ordering DoorDash Is Too Hard, So an AI Agent Will Soon Be Able to Order Pizza for You

Image
Ordering food through DoorDash is probably one of the biggest examples of how modern life has grown incredibly convenient, but apparently, there are still some people who think scrolling through an app is too much work. Now, you'll be able to just text DoorDash and have it order food for you without needing to figure out what, exactly, you feel like eating. DoorDash announced the feature earlier this week, and the idea is that you'll text an AI agent through iMessages – apparently Android support will come sometime in the future – an idea of what you want for dinner. Then, DoorDash's AI agent will browse through all the restaurants in your area and give you suggestions based on your past orders and what you included in your text. One of the examples DoorDash includes is asking its bot for your usual Friday night order, and it'll remember what you usually get, along with any modifications you usually make. This is already pretty easy to do within the app, which usually ...

Original God of War Creator Defends Laufey's Creative Director From Harassment After His Critical Remarks Go Viral

Image
David Jaffe, the creator, co-writer, and director for the original God of War game, has cleared up his viral comments about Ariel Lawrence, creative director for Laufey. Ariel Lawrence has been with the God of War franchise since its very first game — but creator David Jaffe, who left the series behind in 2007 to form his own studio, says he never got along with her during his time at Santa Monica Studio. He described their contentious work relationship in a September 2026 live stream while reacting to footage for God of War Laufey , where he claimed their personalities clashed and that he didn’t feel as though she was truly passionate about the games they were making. “I have no problem with female directors at all,” he began. “This woman started as an assistant producer back when we were making the first God of War. Her and I never got along. She thought I was kind of obnoxious and I thought she was pretentious. She didn’t put the audience first. “People that I didn’t get along with...

007 First Light Is Getting Free DLC Later This Week

Image
007 First Light is getting new, free DLC later this week. IO Interactive has teased the new DLC via a short video on its socials, confirming it will arrive on Thursday, October 2. The DLC will be free, but as of right now, IO is remaining tight-lipped about what it will include. However, based on some prior info, we can likely assume that this is the long-awaited Aston Martin Valhalla update. This content has been teased since launch in the game's main menu, and it appears it's finally being added to the game. This is expected to include a new TacSim mission featuring the Aston Martin Valhalla, which is used near the end of the game as part of a massive set piece. Given the extensive wait, it seems hard to imagine this will be just a short, single TacSim mission. This may add some other items that were revealed as part of a larger roadmap for the game , such as new game+, new gadgets, and other missions and content. A free DLC is just around the bend. Tune in on October 1st. #...

Coinbase Joins Pokémon TCG Hype With Its Own Digital Pack-Opening Service

Image
Coinbase is joining the Pokémon TCG craze with its own digital pack-opening platform. Coinbase, a US-based cryptocurrency exchange platform, is moving in on the TCG market with a particular focus on Pokémon. At least, that’s what it seems like, based on a tweet it published on September 28. “Your binder is about to get a major upgrade,” the post reads. “Rip packs on your phone. Every pull backed by a real, physical card. Vault it or ship it. Soon on Coinbase.” Your binder is about to get a major upgrade. Rip packs on your phone. Every pull backed by a real, physical card. The platform also responded to a few comments that mentioned the popular monster-catching franchise; one user wrote...

New Game Ready to Add Meat and Blood to Steam’s Tidying-Up Craze

Image
Steam has seen an avalanche of cheap and cheerful tidying-up games lately, from libraries to magic shops to toy stores, but the genre is about to get weird. New game Something is Wrong With the Library is still about organizing books, but this time around, you're doing it while dealing with "psychic manifestations" made of flesh. Makes sense, considering the walls of the building are full of the corpses of homeless people. You can wishlist it now on Steam , ready for its release later this fall. Unlike most of the clearing clutter genre, Something is Wrong With the Library stands out because it appears to have a (deeply messed up) story to go with all the chores. You play as the library's former administrator, Phillip Shed, who has one night to organize the books and deal with the gory consequences of the bodies in the walls. According to the Steam listing, players can also expect to find something called The Drowning Room, which doesn't sound ominous at all. Meat...

'As Far as I'm Concerned, That's a Step in the Right Direction' — Path of Exile Dev Optimistic About Diablo 5

Image
While Diablo 5 was announced at Blizzcon 2026 just a couple weeks ago, the game doesn't come out until spring 2029. But it seems like Chris Wilson, former co-founder of Path of Exile developer Grinding Gear Games, is tentatively excited for Blizzard's next ARPG. Wilson, who left Grinding Gear Games in 2023, released a video over the weekend where he broke down everything Blizzard has announced about the upcoming Diablo game, from its story to itemization and monster levels. And while he did have some nitpicks, it seems like he's cautiously optimistic that the Diablo series is headed in the right direction, because of the influence the seminal Diablo 2 seems to have on it so far. Wilson is particularly fond of the new character and inventory screen, where items once again boast different sizes, along with stats that are more in line with Diablo 2. However, there are some modern choices, such as a flat DPS number on weapons, that rub him the wrong way. Still, he recognize...

Delta Force Celebrates Its Second Anniversary with New Season Reorientation

Image
Delta Force’s mission has always been to incorporate player feedback to create the best experience possible for its players. As Delta Force players prepare for the free-to-play first-person tactical shooter’s second anniversary, the developers at Team Jade have been hard at work, listening to two years of player feedback as the game has evolved since its initial PC launch, since coming to mobile and Xbox Series X|S. The second-anniversary celebration kicks off September 26th, with daily tasks that offer players the chance to grab up to 3900 limited-time Delta Tickets, and new collectibles like a new legendary appearance for the AUG, called Golden State. But Team Jade also has big plans for the game's future content, which includes anniversary rewards, a suite of new gameplay experiences, and quality-of-life improvements. Delta Force is getting a serious – and seriously major – upgrade. The roadmap is evidence of how Delta Force uses community feedback to expand the range of ways pl...

Marvel's Wolverine Dev Adds Option to Turn Off Controversial Scent Trails and More in New Update

Image
Insomniac Games has published a new Marvel's Wolverine update that adds an option to turn off those controversial scent trails for collectibles. The Sony developer made good on its promise to investigate a proper on/off option when version 1.001.006 launched just hours ago. Its patch notes reveal more targeted changes as the studio works out the remaining kinks that have emerged in the days since Marvel's Wolverine launched for PlayStation 5. There are three new toggle settings that players can now use to customize their gameplay experience: one for Whiskey Bottle scent trails, one for Material Crate Audio Clues, and one for Nightmare Door Roots. Those first two proved to be an especially hot topic online, with players criticizing in-game hints as one of a few examples of a game many feel is too 'hand-holdy.' Adding the option to completely turn these guides off should quiet those concerns, with a toggle for Nightmare Door Roots adding even more freedom for players t...

How to Play the Silent Hill Games in Order

Image
Silent Hill has appeared in the restless dreams of horror fans for almost three decades now. The foggy town and its various iterations, plagued by the Otherworld, continue to define the mechanics and ambience of psychological horror to this day. Each Silent Hill game contains a relatively standalone story, tied to whatever character the Otherworld has decided to bring to its doorstep. However, the lore of Silent Hill develops across games through returning characters as well as memos, posters, and other small details. Despite its fill of contradictions, some of which are only natural for games with multiple endings, there’s a larger story lurking in the background of each protagonist’s path to atonement (or madness). If the release of Silent Hill: Townfall has sparked your curiosity about how the timeline all fits together, we’ve got you covered. Note: This is not a timeline of the town of Silent Hill, which is revealed throughout games, comics, books, and other supplementary materi...

EA Sports FC 27 Review

Image
I find myself in a weird place with EA Sports FC 27. On one hand, worthwhile strategic elements have finally been added that reflect real-world tactics in a concise, intuitive way. On the other hand, the promised improvements to the behavior and pathing of computer-controlled players on the field still ring hollow, carrying over many of the same issues the series has had for over a decade. Couple this with the dreaded introduction of open-world elements via The Grounds, and the result is yet another year where nearly positive change is balanced out by a negative one.Ever since NBA 2K14 introduced MyPark, which eventually evolved into The Neighborhood in NBA 2K18 and The City in NBA 2K21, I figured it was only a matter of time before EA brought a similar open world full of activities to its other sports franchises. While The Grounds isn't without merit, it often feels like EA is trying to solve a problem that didn't really exist. After hours of exploring The Grounds, it’s clear ...
