Target is reportedly cutting the shrink wrap on boxes of new Pokémon cards to deter scalpers in some stores, who buy stock in bulk simply for the resale market. That's according to fans who report seeing some Target employees fully removing the plastic wrap from boxes of cards in stores, and receiving cut-open card boxes when ordering online. While Target is yet to officially comment on the practice, fans strongly believe this is a tactic to put off scalpers, who purchase the lucrative cards only to sell them on for a profit. Card boxes that have their packaging removed make no difference to actual collectors, but are worth far less when sold second-hand — as there would be no way of proving the cards inside haven't already been opened, and had their rarest pulls removed. The 2021 remaster of Quake has gotten a new, 19-level campaign co-developed by MachineGames in honor of the FPS' 30th anniversary. At QuakeCon, id Software and MachineGames announced a free new campaign for the 2021 version of Quake. The new campaign is titled Dawn of the Machine and is available for Quake owners right now at no extra cost. Ranger is stuck in a time loop and must solve puzzles and fight new foes using new weapons (including an axe!) to survive. It includes a new soundtrack, new deathmatch maps, and achievements. id Software and MachineGames have also ensured there will be a high degree of replayability with these levels, noting that the narrative presentation of the time loop allows for players to tackle them to their hearts' content and make new discoveries. Actor Robert Bogue, who played FIB agent Steve Haines in Grand Theft Auto 5, says he auditioned for 60 roles in GTA 6, but was ultimately ignored by Rockstar Games. The news comes courtesy of X user Burak , who DMed Bogue with some questions on Instagram. Despite the absurd secrecy revolving around Rockstar and GTA 6, Bogue was pretty forthcoming. Minecraft is getting a proper Nintendo Switch 2 version very soon, and Switch 1 owners will be entitled to an upgrade. Mojang has announced that Minecraft will release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 27th. The game has been playable through Switch 2's backward compatibility for some time now, but fans will now be able to take advantage of enhanced visuals and performance features. Mojang noted that the Switch 2 version will include the Vibrant Visuals graphics option by default, which will give the game a leg up on the last-gen version. This will give players better lighting, shadows, and other graphical upgrades to make the visual experience more appealing and modern. Additionally, the Nintendo exclusive Super Mario Mash-Up will also be upgraded to take advantage of the Vibrant Visuals graphics option.
