Elden Ring: Nightreign Players Are Begging For Another Major Update... or Just Everdark Heolstor

Image
It's now been three months since Elden Ring: Nightreign received its paid Forsaken Hollows DLC, which added two new Nightfarers, a new map, two new end bosses and a bundle of other new bosses, enemies, and events. And players are starting to get real antsy, wondering when, if ever, another update will arrive...or at least when they're going to finally get Everdark Heolstor. Multiple popular Reddit posts this week have expressed frustration at not just no updates, but no news of future updates, coming out of FromSoftware for Nightreign since Forsaken Hollows. As u/Chance_Drive_5906 put it , "It has now been three months since the DLC came out. The last piece of content we got for Nightreign. I think it's safe to say we aren't getting anything else and Fromsoft has moved on. The last patch for this game came out almost two months ago as well, so I'm not sure we'll even see any further balance updates." The comments below are full of individuals expres...

Diablo 4’s New Warlock Class Lets You Turn the Power of Hell Back on Itself | Hands-On Preview

Image
No matter how much time goes by, the gory, loot-filled embrace of Diablo 4 is something I always seem to return to, and with the Lord of Hatred expansion right around the corner it’s only a matter of time before I lose myself for dozens of hours once again. That’s especially true now that I’ve had the chance to check out the second of two new character classes coming alongside the expansion, the Warlock, who uses the power of Hell against itself to become an unstoppable, demonic magic user that even Mephisto himself should have reason to fear. This summoner of satanic sigils and swarms of sinister spawn has numerous distinct builds that make it an interesting option for different types of players, and make it less likely that you’ll end up in a party filled with identical demon summoners when going toe-to-toe with the Lord of Hatred, and I truly cannot wait to see what insane builds people come up with. Combined with the new region of Skovos, an overhauled endgame experience, and a w...

Pokemon Pokopia's Lore Has Huge Implications for the Pokemon Universe

Image
Pokemon Pokopia is out now, and I loved it. I gave it a 9/10 for IGN , and one of the things I praised most highly about it was its story and the ways in which it leverages nostalgia for emotional impact. In the review, I didn't talk much about the specifics of that story, because I didn't want to spoil it for anyone. But Pokopia has been released, and I have been unleashed. I need to tell someone about this story, because it's kind of unhinged! Pokopia, despite having a cute and wobbly exterior, is hiding (not very subtly) an extremely grim story, one of the darkest in the Pokemon universe so far. So if you're prepared to delve deep, deep into spoiler territory with me, get ready. We're gonna discuss Pokopia's full plot and ending and why it has massive implications for the franchise. WARNING! I AM HOLDING NOTHING BACK. This article delves into full spoilers for the entirety of Pokemon Pokopia's story! Do not read unless you either do not care about ...

MindsEye Developer Build a Rocket Boy Announces Further Layoffs as CEO Doubles Down on 'Organised Espionage and Corporate Sabotage' Claims

Image
The current CEO of Build A Rocket Boy, Mark Gerhard, has announced further layoffs at the struggling UK development studio following the disastrous release of MindsEye , while doubling down on “organised espionage and corporate sabotage” claims. In July last year, IGN reported that Edinburgh-based BARB had issued at-risk of redundancy emails to its around 300-strong UK workforce after MindsEye flopped at release. Soon after MindsEye came out, BARB said it was “heartbroken” over the issues players had faced with the game , and promised to release a series of patches to fix the significant performance problems, glitches, and AI behavior bugs. Story-driven action adventure game MindsEye was initially designed to be a part of Everywhere, the ‘Roblox for adults’ creation platform led by former Grand Theft Auto design chief Leslie Benzies. BARB eventually switched to focus on MindsEye, but it has so-far failed to do the business for the company. Back in July, Benzies told staff that t...

How to Read The Witcher Books in Order

Image
Before the award-winning RPGs or live-action show , there was The Witcher book series. Andrzej Sapkowski's original story of Geralt of Rivia was heavily inspired by Slavic mythology as well as classic fantasy series like Lord of the Rings . Whether you already enjoyed Netflix or CD Projekt's The Witcher adaptations or are just looking for a great book series, this wild world is worth diving into. How Many Witcher Books Are There? Andrzej Sapkowski has technically published four short story collections and seven Witcher books since he started writing the series back in the mid-’80s. Crossroads of Ravens , which released on September 30, 2025, was the seventh book and ninth "instalment" in the written series. Geralt of Rivia's first appearance in print was in a short story called Wiedzmín — “The Witcher” — published in the fantasy magazine Fantastyka in 1985. It quickly became a hit, leading to countless more short stories that were published as a collection cal...

Capcom Trumpets Successful Resident Evil Requiem Launch, 5 Million Copies Sold

Image
Resident Evil Requiem has sold 5 million copies in just five days, and is another hit for publisher Capcom. This morning, a press release stated that the company's new Resident Evil blockbuster had already passed the sales milestone following a hugely successful launch weekend. Requiem's launch appears to be the biggest in recent franchise history — hitting 5 million sales faster than Resident Evil Village, and the remakes of Resi 2 and Resi 4. Early indications had suggested Requiem was landing well, with a peak of more than 344,000 concurrent players on Steam over the weekend — a series record — plus an extremely positive response from fans and critics alike. ( IGN's Resident Evil Requiem review rated the game as 9/10). In its press release, Capcom went on to highlight some of its own major accomplishments with the game, such as the "photorealistic detail, including the character's skin, teary eyes and flowing hair" made possible by its own custom ...
